- Currently undertaking the task of updating the first NDC and preparing a 2050 long-term low- carbon development strategy. Both will be finalised by the end of 2020.
- More than 5 billion trees have been planted under the Green Legacy Initiative in 2020, and there are plans to expand the Initiative to neighbouring countries, with a target to plant 20 billion seedlings by 2022.
- Calls upon all Parties to submit their most ambitious NDCs before the end of 2020 so that the small window of opportunity to limit global temperature rise to below 1.5°C is not missed.
