Chair from 2000-2001. Mama Konaté was Chair of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technical Advice (SBSTA), and inaugural Chair of the LDC Group and the Expert Group on Technology Transfer. In a national capacity he was Director-General of the Mali Meteorological Service, permanent representative of Mali with WMO and UNFCCC Focal Point for Mali.
