
Chair from January 2011 – December 2012. Pa Ousman Jarju is Minister of Environment, Climate Change, Water Resources, Parks and Wildlife and UNFCCC Focal Point of the Gambia. He was formerly a lead negotiator for the African Group on Kyoto Protocol matters, and a member of the LDC Expert Group and of the UNFCCC Expert Review Team. Mr Jarju is the lead negotiator and Special Climate Envoy of the Gambia. He is also the chairperson of the National Climate Change Committee and of the National Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change Adaptation.
